Trumpet virtuoso Miroslav Petkov passionately celebrates diversity, switching back and forth between principal trumpet in the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and a lively career as a jazz and folk musician. He joined forces with jazz pianist, composer and fellow Bulgarian Dimitar Bodurov to create Preludes to infinity – their debut duet collaboration. Improvisations and new compositions – based on folk themes and motives – blend in unexpected ways with direct references to both jazz and classical music.
